Welcome Message
Exploring God with Children (EGC) Project
Welcome! This project is made possible by a grant from the Lilly Endowment Inc., and is run through America Evangelical University.
Project Director: Joshua Ryoo · Team: Estela, Liliana, Susana, Cristina
What’s at the Heart of This Project?
We want to give kids the chance to open the Bible, get curious, and start exploring God’s Word for themselves. It’s a home-worship approach that creates a safe, protected space where children can meet with God—without adults stepping in to explain everything.
Why do we do this?
Every child is created in God’s image, and can connect with God directly—through prayer, reading the Bible, and listening to their own thoughts and feelings. We trust the Holy Spirit to guide them.
Before home worship, begin with a simple prayer, inviting the Holy Spirit to lead your time together.
A Quick Note to Parents/Caregivers
During these 12 weeks, your role is gentle encouragement—not explanation. Ask the provided questions, and respond with simple prompts like “Good… aha… excellent… what else?”

    How It Works
12-Week Home Worship
Children use a special home worship guide to spend time with the Bible each week.
Packet & Gifts
A packet (manual + small gifts) is sent to your church; your pastor or youth pastor will give it to you.
Child-Led Discovery
As they practice, children grow curious about God’s Word and learn to turn to the Bible with questions and worries.
                What We Hope to See
Deeper love for Scripture:
Kids fall more in love with the Bible and God’s Word.
New respect for children’s voices:
Parents hear their kids’ thoughts and discoveries in their own words.
Strong spiritual habits:
Children learn to return to the Bible and prayer again and again in daily life.
